TAJURA / Caravanserai / 39 ha
The Tajura park is designed as a modern version of a caravanserai offering the idea of hospitality in the environment with scarce resources of public infrastructure. It contains the pavilions of the museum of natural history, showing the most interesting features of Sahara.
The concept upon which the park is designed pivots around three points: The given site is generic and ephemeral in its nature, and the few existing activities exploit the scarse resources. The protoype is specific and autonomous, giving a monumental and symbolic meaning to the sustainable production of leisure and energy that takes place in it.
In the protype are present heterogenous programs, such as sports and educational facilities, clean energy plants and water resorvoirs, leisure and refreshment spots. Move the mouse around the window below to pan the Tajura plan: |
